    About

Thailand is not short on spots that serve up traditional fare, but few of them capture the flavours and textures quite like Ruan Songnaree. This restaurant evokes an age-old Siamese feel like no other - think silk tablecloths, classic art installations, and warm hospitality. Located in the heart of buzzing Bangkok, this restaurant is perfect for family dinners or large gatherings with friends. The exciting smells from the kitchen will get your tummy rumbling with hunger.

No meal here would be complete without trying their Tom Yum Kung, a spicy and tangy dish made with lemongrass and shrimp. The dish is served piping hot in a gorgeous ceramic pot. For the adventurous, their Red Chicken Curry is not for the faint of heart. Served in an adorable pumpkin wedge, its cutesy appearance barely belies the red chili paste it is made with. For something a little moreish, try the Raad-Na Talay, a fried noodle offering topped off with fresh shrimp and cashew nuts for a fresh crunch. Looking for some reprieve from the spice? You can’t go wrong with the Ginger Tea. Traditionally brewed to soothe the stomach and calm the senses, Ruan Songnaree’s version is the perfect accompaniment to their menu items. (April 2019)
