    About

Everyone has those moments. You bite into a dish or put a spoonful of food in your mouth, and nothing else exists. You can’t help but close your eyes, ignore the rush of sounds around you, and just concentrate on the flavours and textures. DID, or Dine in the Dark, about making an entire meal of those moments. Nearly pitch black settings, gourmet cuisine, and an experience like you’ve never had. (Well, unless you’ve dined at this sort of restaurant before…)

Menus are rotated constantly so even regular diners can be surprised. So put the outside world on hold and focus on the scents, textures, and tastes in front of you. Experience food in a whole new way. (July 2015)

    The buzz

“As we said, you don’t know what you’re eating, but that’s half the fun: 'That must be salad, and could this be salmon?' At times, we got it completely wrong as we found out on the way out, when you can actually see the beautifully-presented food. The chef rotates the menu so that even repeat customers will have fresh experiences.” -BK Magazine

“Being in total darkness for a few hours is a rare experience, something that most people have never done before. As well as heightened sense of smell, taste and hearing, you also get a brief understanding of what it would be like to lose your sight. It’s both inspiring and impressive to see how the guides are able to serve food and drinks to your table, as well as help you through the whole process and generally make you feel at ease.” -Bangkok.com
