    The restaurant boasts deep ties with its sister restaurant, El Rinconcito de Juan, a thriving and renowned establishment in Madrid that’s over 10 years old. But even without prestigious culinary roots, the food at El Tapeo excels in its own right, serving up some of the best tasting Spanish plates and snacks you’ll find in the city. Kick the meal off on the right foot with an order of Tabla Mixta to share. This generous cold platter comes laden with savoury Iberian cuts, chorizo sausages, and various types of cheese. The traditional Valencia-style paellas are another standout dish, so definitely try the Arroz Negro Paella where large juicy prawns and fresh mussels sit atop a bed of charcoal-hued rice that derives its colour from cuttlefish.
