      About

With Le Boeuf’s generous use of dark wood, rich maroon fabric, leather, and brass in its decor, it is easy to imagine that you are sitting in a French restaurant in Paris. Although you know you are still along Soi Lang Suan, you can’t help but look around at the exquisite gold railings and retro lamps and feel impossibly chic.

The restaurant menu is as classic as you can get. Though it focuses on just one dish -- steak and fries -- it has perfected this dish with the best cuts of meat it can find. Accompanied by unlimited amounts of crispy golden fries and green salad, this dish would have been excellent on its own, however, the pièce de résistance awaits. The green sauce that the steak comes resting on is legendary. Going back 75 years, it is said to be the same sauce that originated in Café de Paris in Geneva, Switzerland. Garlicky, buttery, and savory, the sauce is a perfect match for the steak. It is common for diners to ask for more fries (they are unlimited, after all) to mop up all the sauce -- that’s how addictive it is. If you’re looking for something sweet to end your meal after the explosion of flavour that is the steak and fries, Le Boeuf’s range of desserts is not to be missed. The Mont Blanc is delightfully fluffy and light -- a truly fitting end to a classy, elegant meal at Le Boeuf. (August 2016)

      The buzz

“The quality of the food is exceptional. Even better is that it doesn’t come at a bank-breaking price...The non-fussed, smart casual vibe is already proving to be a hit with diners who come on a weekly basis with friends and family.” -Bangkok Post

“The must-try when you’re at Le Boeuf is the secret butter-based Cafe de Paris sauce, which was created in Geneva and made famous at Le Relais de Venise restaurant, and is passed down to just a select few. The sauce accompanies the steakhouse’s signature dish, the entrecôte steak, which is served with a hefty serving of fries. Sounds simple, but the Cafe de Paris sauce is a taste bomb made up of more than ten ingredients - prepare to be blown away.” -Lifestyle Asia
