    At Le Café des Stagiaires, diners are more or less guaranteed a warm welcome and a good, satisfying meal. For the curious, the bar takes its name from a French phrase referring to a place where interns go to drink – it’s the perfect place to unwind, though, whether you’re an intern or not! Featuring friendly staff, décor that gives off some serious vintage vibes, and well-cooked food from a myriad of cuisines, you’ll want for nothing by the time you’ve polished off the last morsels on your plate.

    Take a stab at the Crevettes sautées a la Thai, or Thai-style sautéed shrimp – each mouthful you take will be absolutely bursting with flavour, making for a colourful start to your meal. The Croquettes de Fromage are a real treat too; these Belgian cheese croquettes are simply oozing with decadent cheesy goodness, enhanced by the perfectly crispy exterior. If you’re in the mood for seafood, you’ll love the Palourdes au Vin Blanc, or clams in white wine sauce – it might sound like a simple dish, but the clams’ freshness and the subtle tastiness of the sauce elevate it to sublimity. Top off your meal with a sinful dessert, such as the well-loved Fondant au Chocolat, or a classic Crème Brulée. It surely doesn’t get much better than this! (April 2017)
