      Step into Panorama and it quickly becomes apparent where the inspiration for its name comes from; with a prime location on the 23rd floor of Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, this elegant restaurant offers sweeping, unparalleled views of the city. Marvellous as it is, though, the view doesn’t upstage the food; it can be safe to say that Panorama captures the vividness of flavour so characteristic of Thai cuisine, and does a pretty damn good job for Western food too.

      Fresh from the pot is a deliciously spicy Tom Yum Goong, which pulls no punches in the intensity of its flavours – even the most jaded of diners will find this concoction an absolute delight. Stir-fried glory, doesn’t disappoint either. Before you know it, you’ll be devouring the last of these yummy rice noodles and wondering where they all went!

      Look farther west, and you’ll find that Panorama does a mean Rib Eye that’ll impress with its juiciness and flavour; this dish also comes accompanied with a side of your choice, be it grilled asparagus, or green salad, or something else to complement your main. With a great view and tantalising spread available at Panorama, you can quite safely consider us converts! (October 2016)
