Stepping into Smalls is like entering the set of a Wes Anderson movie. Located slightly off-the-beaten-track in Suan Plu Soi, the large-sized art pieces, dim lighting, and jazz playing in the background here imbue the three-storied space with a sense of character. Smalls is by and large a bar, focusing on serving up tequila, single malt whiskeys, mezcal, and even absinthe — served the traditional way with a single sugar cube melted slowly into the drink.

With drinks that pack a punch, Smalls also offers an extensive selection of bar bites to make sure you don’t leave the bar more than a little light-headed. Nibble on French cold cuts and cheeses, or tuck into heartier portions of fried rice, noodles, and hamburgers.
