      About

Tucked away on the second floor of Horizon building on Ekkamai, Sushi Totoya is a sushi restaurant that serves some of the freshest catch in town.

Start the meal with the Sashimi Moriwase, a selection of fish flown in directly from Japan. Expect perennial favourites such as salmon and chutoro (tuna), as well as amaebi (sweet prawn) and mekajiki (swordfish). Feeling a little indulgent? Try the Wagyu Sashimi as well. The raw slices of beef are generously marbled, which makes for a creamy mouthfeel.

If sushi is what you’re after, opt for the omakase menu (chef’s choice), or simply go a la carte and pick you favourites. Popular items are the Toro Uni Kunkan, a delectable morsel of creamy uni and fatty tuna, as well as the Madai Harami — top quality tai (sea bream) that has a layer of fat under its skin.

Sushi Totoya also serves a wide variety of other Japanese specialties such as tempura, udon, and donburi (rice bowls), so there’s plenty of choices to suit every diner’s palate. (November 2019)
