      About

Feel the need to get away? Let the sights, sounds, and smells at Trader Vic’s transport you to your own personal holiday. Celebrate your escape with a couple of signature Mai Tais as you overlook the River of Kings from Trader Vic’s waterfront terrace. As the Polynesian inspired decor and traditional live music encompass you, paradise is only a main course away!

With a sensational menu at the center of it all, trying some key items are a must! Our suggestion? First off, take advantage of Bangkok’s only Chinese wood-fired oven. Tracing its roots back two thousand years to the Han dynasty, one thing is certain, this isn’t your typical barbecue! And well, if you’re in the mood for something more exotic? Be sure to sample some of the dishes inspired by the ancient spice route - the Crab Rangoon and the Calcutta Curry are two of our favourites. Packed with loads of flavour, these two bad boys are a force to be reckoned with and a must-try for those on the lookout for something truly bold. (November 2015)

      The buzz

“A stunning view of the river is a bonus, as are the signature dishes of Ahi Poke, raw tuna with avocado, soy-chili dressing, taro chips and Barbecued spareribs in Trader Vic's classic barbecue sauce. The Sunday brunch is a great way to feel on vacation without leaving Bangkok.”-BK Magazine

“The food selection here is amazing, with food stations stretching through the restaurant and making a long loop around the shaded veranda. At Trader Vic’s Sunday Brunch, all regional cuisines are well catered for, starting with a fantastic seafood table with four kinds of oyster, cracked Alaskan king crab, two types of shrimp, lobster claws, smoked salmon and, of course, a large sushi and sashimi stand.” -Bangkok.com
