    At Ta Khai, there’s more to experience than classic Thai seafood dishes made from simple and wholesome ingredients. Be whisked away on an island fantasy the second you step into the rustic chic fisherman’s village. Here, you’ll dine under weathered houses and pavilions that are flanked by lush greenery on one side and clear, blue waters on the other. Much like the traditional island life, meals are served at family-style communal tables, perfect for small groups.

    Ta Khai translates to “fishing net” in Thai, and as the name suggests, fresh and local and seafood take the spotlight here. Run by chef couple Khun “Nun” and and Khun “Yai”, the kitchen conjures up a bevy of old-world Phuket dishes such as Poh Pia Sod, or fresh spring rolls stuffed with prawns, jicama, bean sprouts, and a dash of chilli for heat. The Tod Mun Goong is another thing of beauty, featuring Thai fish cakes seasoned with local herbs that look as good as they taste. And what better way to savour a Thai feast than with a cocktail or two? Drawing inspiration from local flavors, cocktails such as the Galangal Negroni Gin and Tom Yum Moscow Mule will leave you satiated and with a little buzz.
