    About

    One of the most well-known Spanish restaurants in Shanghai, el Willy has received several awards and it’s easy to understand why. Large factory-style windows open to amazing views of the city and give the restaurant a glow during the day to. At night, the dim lights, intimate atmosphere, and exposed brick walls create a relaxed ambience that keeps the conversation flowing as the hours fly by.

    Expect traditional tapas given slight modern tweaks – Salpicon de Mariscos (Spanish seafood salad, octopus, prawns, scallop, and smoked paprika), Cigala Gigante (Giant North Atlantic wild scampi simply grilled with olive oil and parsley), and Iberican Bacon & Cheese Explosive Air Baguettes, are some great examples. A brilliant mix of casual dining but gorgeous surroundings and fare, el Willy is definitely another one of the must-try spots in Shanghai! (Feb 2016)
