Nestled in the first floor of Sittiworakit Building, Ciao Pizza exudes industrial-chic vibes matched with vintage Italian furniture.

Chef Gerardo Calabrese helms the kitchen here, and his skills at making a good pizza shines through in the light, crispy crust. His trick — using top-grade Italian pizza flour and kneading the dough before leaving it to rest for 48 hours. This yields an airy yet crunchy pizza that is a delight to sink your teeth into.

You’ll find yourself spoilt for choice when it comes to picking your toppings as well. Try the Tartufo E Mortadella, where grilled juicy mushrooms are married with salty slivers of cured meat and a fragrant truffle salsa. There’s also a classic Burrata on offer, where the creamy fresh cheese is generously spooned over the pizza, and garnished with slices of fatty parma ham. For something more unique, try the Pop Eye — inspired by the cartoon character, this pie is topped with (well, you guessed it) four different types of spinach, as well as cream cheese and chunks of spicy Italian sausage.

For desserts, be sure to order a sweet pie to share. The Tiramisu Ciao Pizza is a signature dish, best paired with a glass of Ciao Bella Homemade Cold Tea. (September 2019)
