      About

Sala Rossa is a traditional Italian restaurant with homely atmosphere opened since 2004. Though now located next to Rachadamri BTS station, it was originally foundedin Saladaeng soi 1, hence the name “Sala Rossa” –the red salaor the red room. Fell in love with Italian cuisine, the former Thai embassy of Rome’s officer came back to Bangkok after spending more than 20 years in Italy to pursue his dream of having his own little “real” Italian placein Thailand. Sala Rossa’s recipes traced back to the long-established “Amelindo”, a well-known Italian seafood restaurant based inFiumicino, a 3 generations osteria of theowner’s best friend. Each month the restaurant offers variety of unique “real” Italian ingredients menus taken directly from theirmotherland! Things that would never be found in Thailand, from baby peaches in truffle oil to wild boar & truffle salami from S. Gimignano! Only a small amount of these menus are served once a month, so better check with the restaurant for their availability.
