    Part tapas bar, part tiki bar, and a whole lot of fun. At least that’s the vibe that Escape Bangkok is going for, and boy does it succeed. Nestled on the fifth floor of EmQuartier mall, this restaurant and bar wants to replicate the breezy, sun-soaked laidback feeling of a sun-soaked beach visit without having to leave the urban jungle.

    Tropical Hawaiian decor is the theme here, and social media mavens will be undoubtedly pleased with the colourful sofa beds, pink flamingo decor, and large hayneedle patio umbrellas that will perk up anyone’s Instagram feed. Then sip on some of the bartenders’ amazing concoctions such as the Myth Maguey, a Manhattan made with a tequila base and topped off with some Chiang Mai honey. We also can’t get enough of the Sailor of Wrath, made from an intoxicating mix of rum, tequila, lime juice, and a tart finish of pineapple.

    Then dig into some finger-licking tasty morsels of food, featuring munchy bar grub that includes a trio of Australian Beef Sliders or the noteworthy Salmon Tartare. Want something a little filling? Then opt for the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio instead.
