    The Sicilia Mia Group brings you this traditional Italian restaurant that serves up authentic Italian flavours in the middle of Bangkok’s Groove @ CentralWorld. Drawing on the rich tradition of Italian street food and Osteria-style cooking, everything here, down to the antiques on display, wooden furniture, and rustic decor, invites you to let your mind wander to the Italian countryside. Though perhaps nothing does this more than the inviting aromas wafting from the in-house bakery! Like most Italian restaurants, the food does all the talking.

    Signature dishes here include Traditional Plain Roman Schiacciata, a traditional Italian flatbread that’s perfect dipped into high-grade extra virgin olive oil. Assorted Pizzas, topped with everything from salty cured meats to rich, pungent cheeses, take full advantage of the in-house oven. Pasta, needless to say, is the pride of the menu, with gems like tiny Orecchiette plated with pork sausage in saffron sauce, as well as Homemade Tagliolini served with brightly-flavoured prawns and lemon breadcrumbs. The true king of the menu, however, is the home-made Porchetta, a herbed and heaving joint of pork belly roasted until crispy-skinned and tender-fleshed. The only accompaniment you’ll need is some fruity Italian wines, the perfect way to cap one of the most authentic Italian meals in the city. (April 2018)
