    About

Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok invites diners for a Yum Cha experience with 46 choices of homemade dim sum.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with the restaurant's extensive steamed, baked, pan and deep fried dim sum selection. There are as many as 15 varieties of steamed dim sum, including the all-time favourite Stewed Siew Mai with Prawn Roe. Other dishes include Steamed Sweet Cream Buns and Steamed Fish stuffed with Minced Shrimp. For those who love fried food, try the restaurant’s signature Deep Fried Mashed Taro with Seafood! A perfect blend of taro and bits of seafood, this dish is packed with flavour.

Apart from the usual dim sum treats, Shang Palace’s all-you-can-eat menu also features Double-Boiled Mushroom Soup, Steamed Rice Rolls with Honey Glazed Pork and Mapo Tofu with Minced Pork Sichuan-Style.

Taking a modern spin on classic desserts, Shang Palace offers you a selection of five different desserts. Pick the Rice Dumplings in Ginger Tea if you’re looking for an unconventional dessert, or try the Chilled Sago with Cantaloupe Cream to end your meal on a sweet note. (February 2020)

    The buzz

“The interior is flawlessly elegant and, even more importantly, the food is a glowing reminder of how Chinese food should be executed and presented. Throughout, the food is low on oil, delivering delicate flavours while still being immensely satisfying.” -Bangkok101

“Seat yourself under the elegant chandelier and try the aromatic treats like deep-fried pork turnover and crabmeat xiao long bao…” -BK Magazine
