    Following the success of its first two outlets in Central World and EI8HT Thonglor, Sushi Cyu and Carnival Yakiniku has made a name for itself with its affordable yet top-rate omakase. The modern-chic and airy restaurant space is divided into the omakase bar and a main dining area for those who prefer picking off the menu. But it’s worth having the chefs here decide for you — the fish is flown in fresh from Japan, and skillful hands press and shape the sweet, fresh slices into delicate morsels of fine sushi. There’s lightly-smoked mackerel, sweet amberjack, and the popular well-marbled otoro, to name a few. And if you fancy a Surf & Turf kind of dinner, order up a few plates of grilled meats. The jyu karubi is deliciously marbled and buttery, and comes as a perfect medium-rare. (January 2019)
