    Led by Chef Freddy Warne, Bampot is an award-winning restaurant and bar which aims to deliver great food with distinct character and flavour. The name of the restaurant is unusual, as ‘Bampot’ actually means ‘a crazy person’ in Scottish slang.

    The modern European menu offers snacks, small plates, main courses and sharing dishes. There is a focus on fresh, locally caught fish as well as hand-made pasta dishes, organic pork and fine imported cuts of beef.

    The wine and drinks selection is gently biased towards small, independent producers and suppliers which reflects Bampot’s enthusiasm for hands-on craftsmanship.

    With the bar just next to the open kitchen you can see there is also an emphasis on great cocktails and wine. Try a Faithful Scotsman or a passion fruit martini to stimulate your senses. If you’re not a cocktail person, sip on the quality house wines or have a craft beer or two. As long as you love food and drink, you will feel right at home at Bampot.
