      About

      An impressive three-storey complex by Kalim Beach, this is a one-stop experience for dinner, drinks, and an after party. One of the few beach-side establishments in West Phuket, this is an hour and a half’s ride from Patong, past rolling hills and stunning sea views. Built on huge granite rocks, White Box is like the beach house you’ve always wished you had: tastefully decorated in white with an expansive view of the surrounding sea and coasts, serviced by a superb kitchen and wait staff.

      Food here is 'Mediterranean Asian' shot through with refined French sensibilities, revolving around seafood-heavy plates. Hokkaido scallops are served as a light carpaccio atop a bed of wilted spinach and pickled artichoke hearts, then dressed with little more than olive oil and a touch of lime. The sweet flesh of Alaskan crab is layered with apples, celery, and avocado for a delightful 'mille-feuille' of bright flavours. Sea bass is baked in a buttery crust alongside truffled pomme puree and a spicy mango 'rougail', while tender monk fish is served atop a heady saffron risotto, with grilled Parisian mushrooms and a creamy mustard-spiked sauce. Red meat comes in the form of duck, roasted and served with a garnet port sauce, or grilled and served with honey-touched greens. There’s also beef and lamb, turned into rich curries or served smoking from the grill with a side of savoury jus. The meal is so rich you may want to tumble home after, but make sure to stay for cocktails and a rocking DJ set after the spectacular sunset and party the night away in one of Phuket’s shining beach-side gems.
