    About

Nestled behind a lush foliage of greenery, Bincho at Min Jiang brings delicious skewers of smoke-kissed meat to the Dempsey enclave. The restaurant is chic in frosted glass panels, a vaulted roof, and copper-hued accents, with Japanese folk songs as the soundtrack to your dinner. All meats and vegetables are grilled over the restaurant’s signature Bincho-tan, Japanese white charcoal.

For the best experience, order the Yakitori Platter to share. Here, you’ll find every bit of chicken — from safer parts like thigh and wing, to the lesser-ordered neck and tail — grilled to charred perfection. This second Bincho outfit also has new menu items, such as the Uni Shabu Shabu. The light, creamy broth is infused with Japanese sea urchin, forming the base for an array of succulent seafood like prawns, oysters, and abalone. Get your daily dose of greens with the Yasai Maki (vegetable rolls), where wafer-thin slices of pork and beef are wrapped around yam, corn, and mushrooms, then grilled over an open flame. Wash it all down with cups of sake, or some rare Japanese whiskies. (May 2019)
