    Meat is the name of the game at Le Rida in Bukit Timah, a cosy little eatery that specializes in mezze-style grilled meats and steaks. Riding on its mezze theme, communal dining is encouraged, and a big part of the menu is shared platters of pitas and hearty Middle-Eastern dips like hummus, Iabneh, and motabal, which whet your appetite for the main part of your meal: the grilled meats.

    A mix of Middle-Eastern skewering and French-style grills, the menu here features classics like spicy tender lamb-mince kofta kebabs served on saffron rice and crunchy greens, minced chicken kebabs flavoured with Iranian spices, and flame-grilled seafood kebabs. These rub shoulders with French classics like French onion soup, grilled foie gras in a savoury-sweet orange sauce, and other carnivorous plates like crisp-skinned duck confit, a rich fricassee of chicken with cepes mushrooms, and a selection of premium flame-grilled Angus and Wagyu beef steaks, each steak served with a classic Bordelaise sauce, pomme frites, and buttered haricot beans.
