About
Situated at Labrador Park, possibly one of the most beautiful downtown green spaces on the island, The Three Peacocks is a gorgeous open air barbecue restaurant spread out across a gorgeous lawn in the middle of the park, sheltered by chic architectural structures and lit at night by a scattering of lanterns. On offer is a menu that sprawls across Western, Korean, and Thai cuisines, the strong aromas of each intermingling in the air.
You get to choose your meat of choice, and have it dressed with a sauce of your choice, from buttery French sauces to punchy Korean glazes. But before that, warm up the stomach with some appetizers, like fragrant Tom Yum Soup, crunchy Potato Skins, or flaky Kimchi Pancakes. Then choose a plate of carbohydrates to support the oncoming barbecue onslaught. There’s Korean and Thai stir-fried noodles and fried rice, ranging from oil-slicked Glass Noodles to aromatic Pineapple Rice, as well as simple pastas like Pesto and Mac & Cheese. Then it’s time for the main event. There’s a premium grilled seafood menu that features Boston Lobster, Squid, Grilled Oyster, and Tiger Prawns, with sauce options like Lemon Garlic Butter, Creamy Salted Egg, Tom Yum, and Korean Garlic sauce. There’s also grilled meats, like tender Ribeye Steak, unctuous Beef Cheek, perfect done the French way with a vigorous searing and a lick of jus. Then there’s marinated Korean-style beef and pork for that hit of Korean barbecue, a mix of spicy and caramelized flavours, and the occasional hit of black pepper.
Options abound at this gorgeous barbecue restaurant, a true step up from low-fi East Coast Park barbecues. The premium meats and elegant sauces will give you a fantastic gourmet experience, while you enjoy the chill and laid-back open-air environment that’s the best way to enjoy Singapore’s weather.
