    If anyone can give a high-end spin to Thai food, it’s lauded chef Henrik Yde-Andersen. While on vacation in Thailand back in 2000, this chef was so bowled over by the cuisine’s flavours and richness that it spurred him to create the Michelin-starred establishment, Kiin Kiin, in Copenhagen.

    Now Chef Henrik Yde-Andersen is carving a trailblazing path with Sra Bua, a sister restaurant located in Bangkok’s glitzy Siam Kempinski Hotel. Since its inception, Sra Bua has been praised by foodies for its unique cuisine that marries Thai-inspired modern cuisine with Western cooking techniques.

    Dining at Sra Bua is a thrill for the senses. That experience commences the minute you walk into the expansive wood-panelled space featuring luxurious violet-hued furniture, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and pots of fresh flowers. The visual spectacle extends into its artfully plated dishes so beautiful they’ll make you swoon. The menu, while small, is carefully curated to ensure a well-balanced, harmonious, and deeply-satisfying dining experience. We like the Foie Gras starter, served on a bed of ginger and plum wine foam. Another top-notch favourite is the delicate Maine Lobster Salad, paired with red curry flavours and a sprinkling of edible flowers and herbs.
