      About

Dining at Plu is almost like stepping into the home of a good friend. The restaurant is sectioned into seven different areas, from a dining area and bar to an indoor cellar and an outdoor terrace where diners can enjoy a drink or two while breathing in the crisp night air.

The food here is made from the heart and soul, with recipes that have been passed down through generations. Be sure to try the Fried Smoked Duck Breast, where the game meat is first infused with a smoky aroma, then deep-fried with plenty of chilli and minced garlic for that crispy, golden-brown finish. Another must-try is the Braised Pork Belly in Five-Spice Soup — this fragrant broth is thick and herbaceous in flavour, and is the perfect coat for the tender slab of juicy pork belly. The dish is complete with a wobbly soft-boiled egg, best enjoyed broken and stirred into the aromatic soup.

For dessert, don’t leave without trying the Pumpkin Creme Brulee. While it isn’t traditionally Thai, the silky custard is laced with a golden richness from the creamy fruit, making every spoonful a real treat. (September 2019)
